RTA Simplification of the procedures for the sale of vehicle plates in Dubai
The Road Traffic Authority (RTA) has acknowledged that the service offered was designed to make it easier for members of the general public to buy and sell car number plates.
The process is carried out in a manner that is official and verified, and it involves the two parties signing a Sales Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the plate ownership transfer paperwork using their UAE Pass. This eliminates the need for consumers to visit the happiness centres. Because of this, the service helps RTA's customers save time and effort, which in turn contributes to their overall satisfaction.

As per the terms and conditions that are relevant, the buyer and the seller are required to reach an agreement in advance regarding the sale price and the mode of payment in order for the procedure to be carried out effectively. The next step for the seller is to collect the buyer's information, which may include their UAE Pass, telephone number, or traffic file. After that, the procedure of selling and buying will be registered with the UAE Pass that has been confirmed. Payment of the prescribed service fees is the final stage in the process.
RTA is actively pursuing a digital transformation strategy in which it makes use of cutting-edge technologies to raise the caliber of services offered to all community members. This effort is in line with the orders of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, which are aimed at establishing Dubai as the most technologically advanced city in the world.
Additionally, it is in accordance with RTA's strategic goals, which are to ensure the happiness of their customers and to ensure that the organisation is future-proof.
