Dubai Airports Corporation has announced its readiness and full readiness to accommodate the expected increase in passenger traffic by the end of this week, and its highest levels since the beginning of this year at Dubai International Airport DXB, the busiest international airport in the world.
The number of passengers traveling through Dubai International Airport is expected to increase between March 25 and 28, and the seventh and ninth of April,” coinciding with the end of the semester and the demand for vacation travel and spring break.
For his part, the Vice President of Operations at Dubai Airports, Issa Al Shamsi, provided a number of tips for travelers to facilitate their journey through Dubai International Airport during this period, saying: “There are some steps that we invite travelers to follow during the busy period, to ensure that they have a smooth travel experience. And fast through Dubai International Airport, where we recommend using the Dubai Metro to avoid congestion inside the airport and on external roads. The metro stations are available in Terminals No. (1) and (3), noting that the metro operating hours have been extended to coincide with the main passenger trips during the peak period, whether for departure or arrival.
Al Shamsi added: “We also call on travelers over the age of 12 to use the smart gates to ease and speed up the work of passport control procedures for arriving or departing travelers. As for passengers traveling through Terminal 3 with (Emirates Airlines), we recommend that they take advantage of the self-service options to check-in early and before the flight, to enjoy their holiday perfectly.”
Al Shamsi continued: “We advise all individuals, friends and family, to use the designated car parks at the airport, or the valet parking service to receive passengers with ease and comfort, as entry to the arrival hall in Terminal 3 is limited to public transportation and authorized vehicles only.”
